The Glitch Mob

This week rocks. First Milkman’s Fragments, now this FREE Bassnectar EP?

Following the release of the Bassnectar’s recent album, Divergent Spectrum, Lorin has now released an awesome remix EP. The EP features remixes from the likes of The Glitch Mob, Beats Antique, Terravita, ill.Gates, and Steve Aoki.

Out of the lot, I’d say that Steve Aoki’s remix of “Red Step” and The Glitch Mob’s remix of “Heads Up” definitely take the cake. Of course, it helps that they are two of my favorite producers.

On an equally exciting note, we also are FINALLY getting a full version of “Color Storm”, which was buried in the 35-minute Color Storm Remixtape from September… sincerely epic track.

Ohhh boy.

Here’s a heavy unreleased bit from The Glitch Mob that was supposedly conjured up back in 2009. According to their Soundcloud page, it’s the first release in series of unreleased content that’s soon come. I can deal with that, haha.

Lupe Fiasco, being the gentleman that he is, dropped another mixtape on Thanksgiving, titled Friend Of The People: I Fight Evil. Finally having come out of my turkey stupor, I’m blasting it way too loud right now. Here’s a couple of the better songs from it, although the whole thing is great. How could it be bad when it samples the likes of Sebastian, Bassnectar, The Glitch Mob, and Kaskade, among others?

Here’s some Bassnectar/Ellie Goulding goodness.

Oh, and did I mention M83?

I can only assume that this must be an official remix of Linkin Park’s “Waiting For The End” given that it is not available for download. Who knows though.. I may be jumping the gun and posting this before they had the chance to release it via a Topspin widget. Either way, this is remix is epic. What else would you expect from The Glitch Mob? I will patiently waiting for the download to become available and until then, enjoy the full stream of this nastiness.

By now I’m sure you’ve all listened to The Glitch Mob‘s We Can Make The World Stop EP.

Well, The Jane Doze, whom are RTV favorites, threw a lil’ T.I. on the thang and whipped up a dope mashup. Also, if you haven’t listened to The Jane Doze yet, get your shit in order, and do so immediately. You should probably start with their Tyler, The Creator vs. Tegan and Sara mash that made mad waves not too long ago.

It took me a bit, but here it is: the new EP from The Glitch Mob.

The EP is short and sweet at a whopping 3 tracks, but its well worth the 2 dollars and something cents that they are asking for it. Hopefully, you heard “Warrior Concerto” already, seeing as it was previously released for free. In my opinion, it’s the best track on the EP.

The other two tracks, “Palace Of The Innocents” and “We Can Make The World Stop” are good as well. I prefer the former, mostly because it’s a more laid-back track, and well, that’s how I’m feeling today.

Purchase and stream the whole album below, or go here to enter your email to get “Warrior Concerto” for free.

You hear the news? The Glitch Mob is dropping a new EP July 12th titled We Can Make The World Stop and it going to full of all that bassy glitch that you love. “Warrior Concerto” is the first song off the upcoming EP and The Glitch Mob was nice enough to give it away for free. This song is epic on all levels. It’s like a twisted orchestra ballad with extra bass. Oh my.

I found myself exploring the depths of Soundcloud tonight and decided to find each individual member of The Glitch Mob’s Soundcloud page. Found edIT’s and found a sick remix that he dropped about a month ago of Machinedrum’s “Let It”. I haven’t heard of Machinedrum but with the production of edIT, this song is pretty spectacular. I definitely need to get up to speed on Machinedrum.

TRON: R3CONFIGUR3D hits the streets today and The Glitch Mob decided to celebrate by releasing this retina-scorching music video of their remix of “Derezzed”. The video was created by Khameleon808 and features clips from the movie Tron (still haven’t got the chance to watch it). The Glitch Mob’s remix fits perfectly as the background to the action packed scenes and flashy visuals from the movie. Check it out.

I am about to head out for the night, but I just had to throw this up real quick.

I wasn’t the most adamant fan of the original Tron: Legacy. But holy crap, I am a fan of this. The track list might as well be a list of my favorite artists. For those of you that don’t know, Tron: Legacy R3CONFIGUR3D is essentially a remix album of the original Tron: Legacy soundtrack. It is set to drop on April 5th.

I specifically recommend taking a listen to the Moby, Glitch Mob, and Crystal Method remixes.

06. Paul Oakenfold – C.L.U.
