The first post-EP release from Outasight. As always, Outasight comes through with a feel good song perfect for the summer. I wouldn’t say this is my favorite track from the New York native, but it is a good track nonetheless.

As if I didn’t already love Outasight’s “Figure 8″ enough, Discotech goes and turns into a groovy nu-disco jam. The song was pretty upbeat to begin with but this new poppy piano loop and vibrant synths take it to another level. Love at first listen.

Outasight’s Figure 8 EP keeps looking better and better. Here is the latest song to leak off the album that is dropping this Tuesday via Warner Bros. Like all Outasight tracks, this one is a feel good song that spans multiple genres. If you like rap, indie rock and pop all wrapped in one, then be sure to buy the EP when it drops. I highly recommend it. Outasight is looking to be one of the break out artists of 2011.

How about a little Outasight? We haven’t featured his blend of funky rock and rap in awhile. Luckily, he just dropped his music video for “So What”, the 2nd single from his upcoming Figure 8 EP, due out April 26th. The video features clips from this year’s SXSW festival, which I unfortunately was not present at. I sure wish I was though.

I actually like his first single “Figure 8″ much more than “So What”. It is much more of a catchier song and just makes you feel all good inside. I can see this single becoming very big in the future once they release a music video for the song and WMG starts pushing it harder.

If you been following Outasight on RemixTheVideo then you probably have already heard a couple leaks off Never Say Never including “Near The End” and “Dear Heartache”, both excellent cuts off the mixtape. The tape is the second collaborative mixtape between LRG and the innovative Warner Bros. recording artist, Outasight. Never Say Never contains 14 brand new tracks available for free and features fellow artists Freddie Gibbs, XV, and Avriel Epps. The project also includes production from frequent collaborators such as 6th Sense, Cook Classics, Sa-Ra, and Mike Cash. I have to say that there is not many musicians out there like him. He is half the time a rapper and half the time a soul pop singer of the Motown era, a winning combination in my books. Check out some of the highlights from the mixtape (excluding the ones previously featured) and be sure to download it! My favorite track is “She’s Leaving Home”.

Meet Outasight. Born and raised in Yonkers, New York, Outasight was brought up by a mother who decorated the walls with records and a father who was always playing the guitar. His musical influences include Stevie Wonder, Mos Def, Marvin Gaye and The Beatles. This track is his second leak from his upcoming mixtape Never Say Never.
