Smokey Robotic just released their music video for “Forever My Love”, one of my favorite songs of theirs and let me tell you, it is something else. I don’t want to spoil the video too much for you all but let’s just say it features three guys wearing Smokey Robotic helmets, an epic dance off and they even save a damsel in distress. And just when I thought I couldn’t love “Forever My Love” more than I do, the video also features a new mix of “Forever My Love” that is unbelievable. The outro alone makes me want to get up and start dancing right here in the library. Best of all, Smokey Robotic is giving away this new mix for FREE at fml.smokeyrobotic.com for the price of only a Tweet or Facebook share. Can’t get a better deal than that, eh? Get it quick because this offer lasts two weeks only.

I have been waiting to see some contenders for my house anthem of the year… and this is one if I have ever heard it. This song has been whispered about for a few months now, and gained quite a bit of hype, at least overseas and on Youtube. Well, the official version dropped yesterday on Beatport, and my-oh-my is it a doozie. If you like house music, this will be your new home for quite some time.

Tiesto and Hardwell titled this song “Zero 76″ to show some love for their hometown of Breda, Holland; “076″ is the equivalent of what Americans would refer to as an an area code. Bump this MASSIVE jam then head to Beatport to snag it.

Pretty Lights has been kind enough to bless us with another free download. This addition to the Pretty Lights arsenal consists of seven songs, all remixes, from 2010. Some of the songs are also exclusive remixes from the NYE shows that PL put on in Chicago on December 30th and 31st of last year.

The remixes pretty much run the gamut of music genres. Artists include, but are not limited to, the Notorious B.I.G., Kanye West, Jay-Z, The Steve Miller Band, James Brown, Pink Floyd, and… the Chicago Bulls intro song? Yes. It’s hard to say which track I enjoyed the most; they are all pretty sick bangers. It really depends on what you’re in the mood for.

Note: There are no individual track downloads here, but there is a link to the free download of the entire remix album at the bottom of the page.

I was a pretty huge fan of the “Empire State of Mind” remix, for sure. It just sounded too damn natural. Biggie’s flow goes perfect with Jay-Z’s hit.

The “Hot Like Sauce Rustified Remix” is just pure Pretty Lights. It’s funky banging beat will get you moving for sure. Not much else to say here.

The “Pink Floyd Time Remix” is sheer awesomeness. Derek managed to preserve the rock essence of the song, yet turn it into choppy electro banger. This track really symbolizes the versatility of Vincent’s talent. Great stuff.

I should preface this one by saying that I grew up in Chicago during the Bulls’ golden era. I watched Pippen, MJ, and Rodman run on court to this more than once, so it makes me a little nostalgic. After a gorgeous build, bow down to the funky drop around 2:00.

The bottom line is that this remix album is another great release from Pretty Lights that deserves a spot in your music library. You can download the entire remix album for FREE here.

Smokey Robotic just released the music video for their first single “Outside the Lines (Uptown)” off of their upcoming Outside the Lines EP. The video even features the two foot robotic bear by the name of Smokey Robotic in multiple scenes. How cool is that?!?! The song is a feel good summer type track and believe me when I say this, it is about to take the world by storm. The group even has Lindsay Lohan hooked on that superfuture music.

Want more Smokey Robotic? Check out their new website to download all of their currently released music for FREE. Stay tuned for a bunch of epic remixes of “Outside the Lines (Uptown)” soon to be premiered here at RemixTheVideo in the next few weeks.

We all know how much remix love Ellie Goulding has been getting… she has been all over every blog for quite some time now. It was only a matter of time until a big dog stepped up to the plate to take a swing at her gorgeous vocals. Tonight, Bassnectar did just that. And did it soooo damn well.

If you frequent this site at all, you know I love Bassnectar with all my heart. My love grew even more tonight with this dreamish, deep remix. Lucky for us, Bassnectar is distributing it for FREE as well; all in anticipation of their Winter tour, which is about to kickoff. I’m jealous of the lucky folks who just might get to hear this track live. Hopefully I’ll catch it next time they swing through CO.

Listen to the track below, and then download it using the widget- just click and enter your email address (they will send you their free music first, it rocks).

Hell yea sequined purple banana; do your thing.

Here’s the newest from Benny Benassi in anticipation of his new album. We showed you “Cinema” and the accompanying ridiculous Skrillex remix last week; so hopefully you’re still bumping that. This track is definitely leagues different from “Cinema”, but it is still awesome.

One thing is for sure, this is the coolest thing T-Pain has touched in a while. I think it is safe to say that this song will definitely help to propel Benassi into the mainstream more than he already is; which is a great thing. I want to see electronic music get the love it deserves. I feel like vomiting when I hear people bumping gangsta rap at parties, this is 2011.

There’s already a slew of remixes of “Electroman” available, Rivaz did my fav.

So, a couple weeks ago, I witnessed a fellow student at CU Boulder, Brenton Duvall (maybe you’ve heard of him), tweet quietly about the possible production of a track sampling an EPIC song from an episode of Spongebob Squarepants. Having been a rabid ‘bob fan as a kid, I immediately knew the episode he was talking about. I kind of forgot about his tweet for a while, until yesterday, when he blogged the finished product: a free instrumental sampling this song (which is actually David Glen Eisley’s “Sweet Victory”):

Well, I was overjoyed about Brenton’s release. I went ahead and put out a challenge to the followers of @anoffsinger and @remixthevideo. I said that the first person to send me a dope track using his instrumental would get a feature on our site. Well, The Jane Doze did it, and did it well. The mashed Brenton’s “Sweet Victory” instrumental with Drake’s “Say Something”. Check out another dope Jane mashup here.

I hope with all my heart that I start to find more songs that are this amusing. Nudge nudge Brent.

Seems like Sonny Moore, AKA Skrillex, has been doing more than just wooing his fans; he’s caught the attention of Benny Benassi. In the process, he received an invite to to do an official remix of Benassi’s next single “Cinema”. In itself, “Cinema” is a dope song. In fact, it’s one of my favorite tracks Benassi has put out. It has a chill sound, but still has something extra to cater your party (no surprise there).

If you love Skrill, his remix will do more than tickle your fancy. It will probably do something very explicit to you actually. The remix is jam-packed with the customary Skrill filth you know and love. It’ll womp you face off.

Weigh on which version you like more in the comment section. I’m interested to hear.

One of my buddies tossed this my way earlier tonight. Unf***ingreal. EKLIPS is a French beatbox master. The hits on this video are like wildfire right now. A major high five goes to whoever comments below with an accurate list of the songs they hear in the video.

Oh, and the video was done for Trace Urban.

Magnetic Man, the powerhouse electronic trio consisting of Benga, Skream and Artwork, recently unveiled the music video for their latest single off of their debut self titled album “Getting Nowhere” featuring R&B and soul artist John Legend. This is, to my knowledge, John Legend’s second dabble in providing the vocals to an electronic track after MSTRKRFT’s “Heartbreaker”, one of my favorite tracks of the past year. Although not as upbeat as “Heartbreaker”, “Getting Nowhere” proves to be a jam that is sure to be a worldwide hit. Could you expect anything less from a group formed between renown DJs Benga, Skream and Artwork? I think not.

The video’s visuals focus primarily on young people riding BMX bikes and playing video games sliced between haunting visuals of a hooded rider dressed in all black on a black horse (repesenting Death?), CCTV, prostitutes, homeless people, disease and newspaper headlines about the world economy going up in flames. Are we getting nowhere? That is the main question asked in the song in regards to the world at large.

Along with the video, Magnetic Man also unveiled the three official remixes to “Getting Nowhere” including a remix by one of their own, Skream, and two others by Breakage and a soul mix by Yoruba. My favorite is Skream’s remix as could be expected. The soul mix by Yaruba feels like it could have been a John Legend track on its own. Check them out below.
