Okay, where’s the cliff notes for this damn video? Oh, here they are. Joking aside, there is some good stuff in this video if you are patient enough to watch all thirty minutes.

J. Ashar gives us a close up view of the making of what sounds to be one of Hollidayrain’s biggest tracks yet “Need You Back,” a banging Electro House single that will be released via Dirty Fabric Digital in October. Hollidayrain just recently signed a record deal with Paul Anthony’s label Dirty Fabric Digital and this is just one of many tracks that will be released on it. Get excited.

To tide you over until “Need You Back” gets released, Hollidayrain was messing around and decided to try out some Drum & Bass for the hell of it. As expected, his talents easily translate into any genre of EDM music. He really can make anything.

Everyone and their Mom is complaining about how Donald Trump compared Mac Miller to Eminem and I wanted to throw my two cents in. Give the guy a break! Do you really think he is an avid Hip Hop fan that’s know the differences between the many subcultures, styles within it? Absolutely not. He even says in this video that the lyrics in the song are “a little hard to understand.”
Trump is just gloating about the fact that a rapper made a song titled “Donald Trump” that’s popular. Since this is Donald Trump, this really shouldn’t come as a surprise. Plus, I can only imagine that he is saying Mac Miller is the next Eminem because they are both white and popular. Eminem is the most successful white rapper to date. Mac Miller might be the next. On another note, there will never be another Eminem. Never.

So, a few weekend’s ago PropaneLV attempted to take a few shots of Bacardi 151 and follow up with a freestyle. Needless to say, he failed and puked in a blender. Now, here is the rebuttal, which he does succeed at. Before doing so, he does drop some great lines of insight such as Dr. Pepper being the official drink of white rappers and that his friends can’t understand what an 8 Mile state of mind is since they aren’t white rappers. In the end, PropaneLV proves once again that he is a damn good rapper.

One of my favorite Pop producers, Doctor Rosen Rosen, recently announced a new series of EPs titled Girls that will feature four original collaborations between himself and a different guest vocalist on each track. The first volume of the series is due out August 15th and will feature Jessie & The Toy Boys, Kay, Anjulie, and Meg. Below is the first leak off the EP titled “Five O’Clock” featuring Jessie & The Toy Boys. Check out what Doctor Rosen Rosen had to say about the track below.
“Around that time, I was listening to a lot of the 80s girls groups that were produced by Prince (Vanity 6, Sheila E, Appolonia), which inspired the punchy Linndrum-sample-heavy beat of the song. A day before our session, I started the track and came up with the pre-chorus “Hello Hello Hello.” I was nervous to show her the idea because she was one of the first artists I worked with in Los Angeles, but she was in to it and we quickly wrote the rest of the song together. One of the things I love about working with Jessie, is that her lyrics always engaging and paint a vivid story… in this case “you’ve got till five o’clock to get your shit out.” – Doctor Rosen Rosen

Oh. My. God.
Nickelodeon is bringing back all of the unbelievably cool shows from the 1990′s that I grew up on. And if I know a damn thing about demographic analytics, they are probably the same ones you grew up on as well.
Beginning this Monday, the shows will air between midnight and 4am on Teen Nick. The programming block will be called “The 90′s Are All That” and include Hey Arnold!, Kenan & Kel, Rocko’s Modern Life, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, All That, and much much more. Get all the info on the official Facebook page.
Here’s my prediction:
These shows were dope back in the day, but now that we are adults and have grown culturally to find vulgar humor more appealing, we won’t be as drawn to these shows. It’s hilarious that they are positioning this as an adult programming block, as you can see from the scheduling for the block and the sex reference in the promo vid below. In a place where we can watch Adult Swim and Comedy Central when we are hammered eating pizza during wee hours of Sunday morning, I think Kenan Thompson’s lovableness might just not cut it.
I will definitely watch this once or twice for nostalgia’s sake, but I would prefer that my little sister watches it instead of all the Disney crap kids are into these days. #Isoundreallyfuckingold

There is a new iPhone app out there called Loopy 2 that allows you to loop any sound you record into it. It looks like a lot of fun but I doubt I could make anything as cool as this track that Dub Fx just made in a span on three minutes. It would probably take me more like three weeks. Oh well, I will be waiting for this to be hitting the Droid market anyway. iPhone’s gets all the cool apps. Seriously, when is Peggle coming to Droid?
