If I put my grudge towards this track for featuring a squealing Akon hook aside, I really love it for Roth’s portions. I didn’t even post this track on it’s initial release because I didn’t want to perpetuate Akon’s popularity.
After seeing the video, I have to post it. I love the comic book theme. Although, at times, the visual effects are a little bit overdone. You might recognize the same effect from the video for Asher Roth’s “Gotta Get Up”.
This will be on Roth’s upcoming album, which is now called Is This Too Orange, due out later this year.
New video from underground Living Legend, Murs. I think many people will be able to relate to this one..
DD172/BluRoc presents the music video for “Remember 2 Forget”, from Murs’ forthcoming album Love & Rockets Vol.1: The Transformation, dropping October 11. The song is produced by NY beat legend Ski Beatz, who produced the entire L&R album, and the video is directed by Shruti Parekh. The Hip Hop & Love Tour kicks off September 27 in Tempe, AZ featuring Murs and the rest of the DD172 roster – McKenzie Eddy, Ski Beatz & The Senseis, Da$h, Sean O’Connell and 24 Hr Karate School – and will make its way around the country before wrapping up in Tucson November 26. Visit HipHopAndLoveTour.com for tour dates and more.
Radical Something, the radical group fusing together Hip Hop and poppy Reggae, has had a busy Summer so far and things are about to really heat up for them. They are set to release their debut album We Are Nothing September 21st. The album includes their hit song “Be Easy” as well the three chill tracks that can be found below. My favorite of theirs is easily “Long Hair Don’t Care”. The chorus on that song is just amazing.

If you can’t wait until the 21st to download their album, you can download all of Radical Something’s songs on their Facebook.
Really late on this but the song is too good to not post it. “Live on the Road” is the first release from Tayyib Ali since his extremely successful Keystone State of Mind mixtape and gives a little perspective of his life while on tour.
“Just Another Day” is the third single off Logic’s upcoming Young Sinatra mixtape dropping September 19th on a blog near you. The Maryland native has been killing lately and has a flow reminiscent of AZ or even maybe Nas in his prime. His tape will not be one to pass up on.
Two new visuals from Pmac’s debut mixtape First Impression. “Invincible” is one of my favorites off the tape and “I’m Good” is a chill Hip Hop track that can easily fit into many of your playlists. If you have yet to download First Impression, get it now via Datpiff.
Weapons of Audio is duo introduced to me by Before the Bigs’ Siegz. Their music is a hybrid of Rock and Hip Hop, which is always a great combination in my book. From what I hear, they are working with the producer behind Cee-Lo Green’s last album, so expect to hear much more about them in the near future. “If You Want Me” is their breakout single and you can check out more of their music on YouTube.

I wasn’t even really a fan of this song when it came out, which was extremely disappointing as I love Sean and Kanye so I had high expectations. However, as much as I was let down I was when I first heard this song, I was equally pleasantly surprised watching this video for the first time. It just looks smooth and the whole direction and style of the video are pure dope. Not to mention the sexy ladies and epic product placement for VOYR. If I knew how to make .GIFs I would have made one for the preview of this post, good thing you can just watch the video to see what I’m talking about.
“You” is the first single off Evidence’s upcoming Cats & Dogs album due out Sep. 27th. The song is produced by none other than the legend DJ Premiere. I suggest copping this album right when it comes out as Evidence’s last album, The Weatherman LP, is a one of the few albums in recent years that I consider a classic.
