Doesn’t quite look like him, doesn’t it? Apparently, 50 Cent lost a lot of weight for his upcoming movie “Things Fall Apart.” In the movie, 50 Cent will play a football player diagnosed with cancer.
He dropped from 214 pounds to an astonishing 160 with a liquid diet and three-hour-a-day treadmill walks for nine weeks. Yeah, he dropped 54 pounds over nine weeks, which comes out to be 6 pounds a week. That’s almost a pound a day! That can not be healthy..
“I was starving.” says 50 Cent. Now he’s back on tour and says, “I’ve been eating. I’ll be back in shape in no time!”
In an interview that was featured on France’s SkyRock radio, Dr. Dre and Interscope’s Jimmy Iovine explained that Dr. Dre’s Detox single featuring Jay-Z, ‘Under Pressure,’ was delayed because of the release of Eminem’s latest single ‘Not Afraid.’ Supposedly, Eminem’s single was not planned to drop first. Although ‘Under Pressure’ is delayed until it can be released closer to the album release date, another track may be released this summer. Scott Storch also stated in an interview with DJ Skee that Detox is only three tracks away from completion. We will wait and see if this is true.

Raekwon’s debut album Only Built 4 Cuban Linx… will surely go down in Hip-Hop history, not simply because of the classic songs featured on it, but also because of the purple cassette tape on which it was released. Dubbed the “Purple Tape,” its unique clear purple shell quickly became a collector’s item. Now, fifteen years after its release, the legacy of the “Purple Tape” lives on through Rhymefest.
The Chicago rapper announced today that he will release a special edition red cassette tape of his upcoming sophomore album El Che, due out June 8 on dN|Be Entertainment. Rhymefest says that the decision to release the “Red Tape” is an attempt for him to bridge the golden era of Hip-Hop to the present, and more specifically, El Che. Rhymefest will also release a clear, prison-safe cassette tape that will use no screws or contraband materials as to bring the power of music and conscious thought to those behind bars. Both the “Red Tape” and the prison-safe tape are available for purchase at ElCheTheMovement.com, along with the CD and digital versions of the album as well.

I heard that Amber’s getting seven figures to keep her lips closed.”
In a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal, Nas revealed that Hip Hop is now back on its feet..
“It died several times, but I do believe in the heartbeat of it right now,” says Nas, whose 2006 release Hip Hop Is Dead engenders discussion even to this day about the state of the genre. “There are a lot of new artists, and artists that have been around, who are kicking ass right now. I just wanted to give a boost to people and to myself, to push people to go harder. It’s a different world now.”
Leaves us to wonder if Nas’ next album be titled ‘Hip Hop Is Alive.’
