It’s been a minute since I’ve posted something from any of the members of the Odd Future crew, not because I have an issue with them, but because I’ve been in an EDM cave because of the New Year.
Domo Genesis does Tupac’s “Temptations” solid justice on this one. This won’t be on his upcoming project No Idols, however.
Kenton Dunson just announced that he will be going by Dunson in the future and with it, he dropped this sick freestyle over Drake’s “Lord Knows”. All I got to say is that he killed the beat. Straight murdered it. Before to stay updated on his music and to help him regain his fans on his new Facebook fan page.
Brother Ali has been under the rap radar for way to long, with the exception of that dope Record Store Day track he released on Rhymesayers’ vinyl last April (which no one seemed to notice sadly). While the new track seems to lack the powerful delivery and emphasis of his older tracks, it’s still dope. I’d love to see Ali make a comeback.
I have always been more of a fan of Skrillex’s more melodic parts of his songs than the heavy womps that come with it, so it was nice surprise to hear yh and Hollidayrain take the junk out of his latest single. This Electro-trance remix serves as Hollidayrain’s parting gist to 2011. Big things coming for him in 2012!
Here goes The Weeknd’s third mixtape of 2011 entitled Echoes of Silence. I would say this one is on par with their debut and has been on repeat for days. A must download, especially considering his amazing cover of Michael Jackson’s “Dirty Diana”.
New single “Traffic Light” from Jared Evan’s upcoming free EP titled The Fourth Chapter. The song is classic Jared Evan fusing together Hip Hop, Pop and Rock. The upcoming EP will be produced entirely by !LLMIND and Ill Factor and will include other special guests. It is set to drop the 1st quarter of 2012, so get excited!
New street video from Sweden’s own Lazee. “The Way You Move” comes off his most recent mixtape “One Way Ticket”, available to stream and download here.
