Feature Cuts just released a super filthy dubstep remix of Kaskade’s “Room for Happiness” featuring Skylar Grey. The drop itself will leave you feeling like you are in another world. Download this asap and read what Feature Cuts had to say about the remix below.
“From the intro that contains deep lyrics to be interpreted as one chooses. To the drop that is intended to create immense feeling and evoke energy from within. I hope the listener will hear a story and find a happiness that is as unique as they are.” – Feature Cuts
Awesome, we finally have the debut mixtape from The Jane Doze.
Although we’ve previously posted a few of the tracks you’ll find on Girls Talk, there’s also plenty of new material as well. My personal favs? “Born to Feel Beef” (Calvin Harris v. Lana Del Rey v. Steve Aoki Ft. Afrojack) and “Replacement Ros” (Sigur Ros v. Drake). Also, I should note that the second build and drop in “Wild Ones Take Over” just might kill you (if you have a powerful enough sub).
The tape spans multiple genres, multiple artists, and multiple levels on the rage-o-meter. Per the usual, the Doze know how to produce a banger, and how to give their fans something to chill to as well. Overall, the entire tape is great, and more than worth a download.
The best part of the whole deal? It’s free. Download it below the player.
I’ll admit, when I first heard the clip of this song a few weeks ago, I was underwhelmed.
It sounded like one of the less exciting tracks you’d expect to hear on any Gorillaz album. However, now that we have this version in our hands (a 12 minute version should be coming soon), the song sounds fantastic. Andre 3000 really makes it for me.
Interestingly enough, this track is actually a part of some sort of music promotion marketing for a new Converse Chuck Taylor shoe… or something like that. All I know is that there is a video coming for the track in a couple days, and I’m beyond excited.
Proving once again they that are one of the best mashup groups around, Hood Internet has odropped a sick (and unexpected) mash. I never would have thought of putting these two together, but damn, it sounds good.
Radical Something is killing it on all angles. Branding, style, social media, music, everything but most of all the music. Their latest music video for “Say Yes” had me hooked on the first listen. If the song is not playing on radio stations across the country, something is seriously wrong with the system. Watch the video below for it and stream their new album No Sweat. Be sure to purchase the album as well. It is only $2.99 for all six tracks. I swear my energy drinks cost more than that.
New single from Silver Medallion entitled “The Young and The Reckless”. The song will be off Spadez’ upcoming project highlighting his production with various featured artists. Pump your first to this one.
“We are the Young and the Reckless. There’s nothing deeper here, some days you just know you’re one of the kids whose living by the motto “live fast die young”. This is the soundtrack for that life.” – Silver Medallion
If you live in the Boulder, CO area, make sure you don’t miss Silver Medallion’s performance at Club 156 on CU-Boulder’s campus. The flier and more information can be found after the jump.
Following up with the wildly successful release of “Count On It”, Dunson dropped a new webisode highlighting his show at the legendary S.O.B.s in New York City. The video also contains a preview of “Ode to my Microphone” off his upcoming project, The Investment. Read what Dunson had to say about the video below.
“In January, I was given the opportunity headline the popular Sol Village showcase at the legendary S.O.B.’s in New York City. It was a packed house where the amount of support we received was crazy! The band came out for a set where we performed new tracks from the forthcoming mixtape, The Investment. The song previewed in this webisode is entitled “Ode to My Microphone” which is produced by The Phatboiz and will be included on the The Investment. The Atom Evolve crew came along to catch some footage of and leading up to the performance. They threw together a quick highlight reel to show how it all went down.” – Dunson
