What’s more appropriate for Halloween night than dubstep? NOTHING.
Here’s a heavy little dub tune inspired by John Carpenter (Halloween, Escape From New York), and produced by Proper Villains.

Yoon Mirae (also known as Tasha Reid) is widely considered Korea’s hip hop queen. The funny thing is.. she is probably the better than any other female emcee I’ve ever heard. Why she isn’t huge here in United States boggles my mind. She definitely has the potentially to be.
Yoon Mirae released “Get It In” just yesterday and it is already #1 in South Korea without much promotion. The song features RTV regulars Smokey Robotic on the English version (the version featured in this post). With !llmind and Konrad behind the boards and Father Dude present on the hook, it appears that Yoon Mirae has an international hit on her hands.

“Dear Industry” is the first single off The Foodchain’s Brunch album due out Nov. 11th. This may just be my favorite track yet from the Denver collective.

Smokey Robotic and Pier Pictures join forces again to present the visual accompaniment to Smokey’s single “Blast Off” off The Shark & The Helicopter LP.
“Shhhhhh…..
This week will be filled with dreams.
And in the haunting, there are realities to embrace that come in different shapes.
Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it.
Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many.Shhhhhh…Let us be that ship that takes you up…” – Smokey Robotic

I would love to have this set up at my place but would hate to live across from me if I did.
4 singing pumpkin faces, tombstones, hand carved pumpkins, strobes, floods and thousands of lights. Most all lights have been changed from incandescent to RGB LED so power consumption is a lot less than previous years. Also DMX added to show. All lights, faces and props are custom made (DIY) by me except for the roof line which are CCRs. Controlling channels have gone up 8X from last year. 1144 channels. Light-O-Rama. Riverside, CA

What could cause me to break out of my senior year, job search inspired seclusion? A new Hoodie Allen music video, no doubt.
This time around, Allen made a down right hilarious video for “James Franco,” which was on Leap Year, his mixtape from this past summer.
The most crazy part of the video? The fact that he got the REAL James Franco to be in it! Or, the seemingly very real bike crash at 2:40. Your call.

There really is no lack of good music these days with so many people doing so many different things, yet somehow, most of it still manages to all blend together and get lost in the mix. So as I’m sitting here watching videos, debating if I should post the new Dream, B.o.B, Logic, Jon Connor or one of the other countless dope things to recently come out, I come across this video from Educated Hustlers.
It’s nothing exceptionally special. I mean they don’t out-spit the terminator, they don’t out flash B.o.B and they definitely don’t out-west-coast these guys, but who could? Instead, they just rhyme about what they know, how they see it and how they feel. And there’s something legit about just doing your own thing and doing it well.
In my union smokin’ westin, ready to quit collect / So I’m injectin’ my intellect and infectin’ the current game … Hoping the world accept me for my vigirious verses

Duck Sauce, or A-Trak and Arman Van Helden more specifically, just dropped what is arguably the most outrageous video of 2011. The only video I can think of that even comes close to touching the absurdity of this video is Chromeo’s “When The Night Falls” video which came out last August.
I’m not going to give anything away, but I will say, don’t open this if you are in front of both your grandmother and little sister. I learned this the hard way. Best moment in the video? The dance moves around 1:50, trust me.
