MartyParty – The Purple EP (Album) x Two MartyParty Remixes

by on May 19, 2011

MartyParty decided to kick off a steady stream of purple bass leading up to his upcoming album with a free 3-track EP. The EP includes a few fan favorites including “Cocaine,” “Strictly Business,” and the MartyParty radio hit “808s, I Want Some.” This is just a taste of what is sure to be a dope album from MartyParty. My favorite on the EP is by far “Cocaine” but the other two tracks are not far behind.

“When I returned home from touring North American with The Monsters of Bass, I wanted to sit down and write a collection of songs that summed up the kinds of energy and emotion I found myself feeling and expressing to the audiences on tour every day,” states Marty. “This album touches on various forms of purple energy in a journey through the genre. The Purple album demonstrates the incredible range of this electronic genre and how it can express light and dark, turn from gentle to hard, but always delivers its message using only synthesized sounds.” – MartyParty

MartyParty’s Purple drops May 31st.

I know what you are thinking.. another Adele “Rolling in the Deep” remix? Trust when I say that anymore remixes of this track featured here would have to be of a certain caliber and this one definitely reaches that threshold.

MartyParty recently teamed up with West Coast producer Minnesota to form a group called Deathstar. Their debut EP together is currently in the works and should be out around early June. According to MartyParty, the project is thrilling and I believe it. Just take a listen to this remix and you will see why.

How about one more MartyParty remix for good measure? This remix of Waka Flocka Flame embodies all my guilty pleasures in one track. It’s crunk, glitch, and purple. It will also leave you feeling like you can take on the biggest guy at the bar. That was a warning.
