Eliot Montero, Samuel Barba, and Tarek Nasr together are Morose, a new concept group that combines a minimal electronic experience with live instrumentals. The result? A genre the group refers to as “Minimal Wave.” No matter what their music is called, I am feeling their first release, The Morose Project EP. In case you haven’t figured it out yet, I have a real soft spot for chill electronic. The group is based out of LA and Orange County and is currently recording a full length album, which will surely be great.
In addition to Morose, the same group members have formed The Project, a more electronic/house/techno focused foray that contributed the single “Thoughts” to the EP. Overall, I recommend taking a listen to “Cocktail Dress” or “Thoughts,” both are equally awesome tracks. Be sure to go and give these guys a “like” over on their Facebook Page as well.
