Didn’t realize the music video for this track came out. It is easily one of my favorite songs of the summer and it features many talented artists all on one track including Captain Hooks, PTRJON, Ivana Santilli, Curtis Santiago & CYLENZ. This is off the compilation disc titled The GSUS Affair created by the Canadian arm of the Dutch fashion company GSUS. This is currently the only track available for purchase online but I assuming you can get the rest of the compilation at one of the Canadian GSUS stores. I have only one question about the video, why does “民生新由喜” flash on the screen when Ivana Santilli is doing the hook? I have been trying to translate it but I doesn’t make that much sense. I think they meant to say “the people become new from happiness” but they wrote it way wrong. Maybe I am wrong but I would hope a year of Chinese taught me something.

It’s been awhile since Hyper Crush remixed a track that wasn’t their own. This time they remix Enrique Iglesias’ track “Tonight” along with some vocals from Sky Blu of LMFAO. How old is Enrique Inglesias anyway? The dude has been making pop music since I was in middle school and he still has the swagger to go “tonight I am fucking you” on a track. Hyper Crush does their thing with the track and makes it into an electro banger that only Hyper Crush could make.

We forgot to throw up Hyper Crush latest single “Kick Us Out” produced by The Cataracs. The track is one of their best in my opinion, although it does sound a little like 3Oh!3. Not a bad thing especially if they want some radio play. Check it out along with their own remix of the track.

This remix is pretty dope but I like the original better..

Well, after a long and lovely Christmas I’m glad to be back posting. After all, with the new year approaching, what would I be worth if I didn’t give you something to rage your face off to? That’s where this mashup comes in. Derek Sabiston from Kentucky mashed up Willow Smith’s “Whip My Hair” with Bassnectar’s “Here We Go”, which might just be my favorite Bassnectar song next to “Magical World”.
Those of you who read regularly know that I’m a complete Basshead. I was actually chilling with some friends last night and one of them had never heard of “Magical World”; I nearly burst into tears. I would suggest that people who are unfamiliar with “Magical World” check out the track and our video remix for it here. Either way, big ups to Derek for this great mash, and even more impressively, the great remixed video to accompany it! The footage comes from Bassnectar’s past Spring tour and Willow’s music video. Enjoy the video and download the track below.

Kenton Dunson just laid a remix of his song “Breaks” over some classic Hip Hop beats in preparation for his show this Sunday in Baltimore. He goes over Gangstarr’s “Mass Appeal”, Jay-Z’s “A Million and Questions”, and Freeway’s “What We Do” in the remix. If you live in the Baltimore area, I recommend attending the show. He will be there with the full band and will be performing his latest album Creative Destruction. If you have not downloaded Creative Destruction, please visit kentondunson.com to listen and download! Higher Hands (higherhandsmusic.com/) & Soul Island Rebels (facebook.com/SoulIslandRebels) will also be performing that night. RSVP for the show via Facebook and purchase tickets at the8x10.com.

If you like good beer, Kenton Dunson and Tristan Gilbert recently unveiled their collaborative brew, Creative Destruction, an India Black Ale. Full description and photos below.
Brewed by Tristan Gilbert, Creative Destruction India Black Ale was brewed in collaboration with the artist Kenton Dunson. It’s a 5.4% abv beer that was brewed with 3 malts and an inordinate amount of hops. Immediately after pour, the smell of hops is powerful and magnificent. An extremely dark brown color with a subtle carbonation, this is a seriously smooth drink with sweet roasted malt character and an absolutely great hop finish.
Look for it and request it at your local liquor store!

It’s been a bit since I’ve posted anything new from BetatraXx, so I was pretty excited when this showed up in my box. BetatraXx remixed The Lonsdale Boys Club‘s recent release titled “Weekend” into an epic banger that is sure to tickle your fancy.
Lonsdale is new group out of the UK. Their debut single “Light Me Up” off their upcoming album is due out later this spring. It will be interesting to see where they go. If they already have gotten remix attention on their first release, who knows how big their next drop may be…
Listen to and DL the original and the remix below.

Weezy has blessed us this Christmas with the first single off of Tha Carta IV, the next installment in Tha Carter legacy. This song definitely is a great Christmas present. It reminds me a great deal of “A Milli”, except I think I could grow to like it way more.
“6’7″” truly comes as a relief. I have been kind of disappointed in Wayne’s recent releases; I Am Not a Human Being DRASTICALLY disappointed me, aside from “Gonorrhea”, which was dope. The album just didn’t have the wordplay I was hoping for and the bang that I need. This song, does.
The album is slated for release in February. I am sure we can expect a couple more singles by then…

Just when I thought my evening was over, the MashMaticians sent this my way. It has really been a bit since I have heard anything that used Mike Posner, so it caught my interest. The last thing I heard from Mike was the echo of his voice while he did a free show on CU’s campus, a block from my apartment. Oh, that’s right, I also heard the avalanche of “Please Don’t Go” remixes that dropped when his album released.
However, this mash takes its rightful place as the only “Please Don’t Go” remix in my library; it’s sick. Maybe it’s just the Calvin Harris lover in me speaking, but I def am feeling this jam. Go check out the MashMaticians Soundcloud page, there’s all kind of goodies over thurrr.

Man, I have had this sitting in my box for few days now and somehow I am only now getting to posting it. I should start off by saying, Moby was one of the first real electronic artists I ever listened too (and loved). However, he is MILES away from anything that people my age listen to today. It’s kind of sad. Nonetheless, I love his style. It’s much more mellow than most of our readers are probably used to, so let me know what you guys think!
Plastikman himself is a renowned house artist who banged warehouse raves to the floor back in the nineties. So needless to say, the original “Krakpot” is much more heavy. Moby lends the track his ambient, ghostly signature. The track was produced to be a part of Arkives, an expansive collection of Plastikman’s work that will be released in February. You can order it here. Oh, and FYI, this is a shortened version.

I’m not really going to say much to preface this Laidback Luke remix. If you are into electronic, you know what’s good. Here, Luke has remixed the title track off of Moby’s most recent album, Wait for Me. The result? A great banger that pulsed the Electric Daisy Carnival.

Why, yes, you do look like you want a disco-esque, synth-heavy, happy-go-lucky song for Christmas. This little track is a great way to get into the Christmas mood. It is pretty much the poler opposite of the last Christmas track I posted. The Santa in Keljet’s world is muuuuuuch nicer.
Keljet is a duo from Nijmegen, Netherlands. Check out their Soundcloud and Myspace if you would like to hear more!

As little holiday gift/enormous hype builder for their upcoming album Zonoscope, Cut Copy have released an epic remix of their recently released single Take Me Over, and oh-my-god-does-it-bang. It’s about ten minutes of f*****g glory. Tim Goldsworthy, AKA The (or Thee) Loving Hand, is a well accomplished producer, having worked with the likes of Massive Attack, LCD Soundsystem, and oh, being part owner of DFA Records. No biggie. Let’s just say his expertise shows.
I must say, Cut Copy sure knows how to go about marketing their goods. Their site is down right now due to what I imagine is an overflow of traffic. Oh, and check out the original “Take Me Over” at our old post.
