Here’s something hot off the table for you. Midnight Conspiracy just released this remix of Moneypenny’s “Destroy”. The track has the dark throbby club style characteristic of Midnight Conspiracy’s remixes and is sure to get the party bouncing.

The chicago trio is currently on their Arcanum Arcanorum Tour tour which will cover 40 cities in 2 countries; no big thang. Peep their myspace hur, their Soundcloud hur, and my favorite remix of theirs (and possibly my fav Night by Night remix overall) hurrr.

Overall, I hate this song because it makes me want to go party/club/drink and instead I am studying/crying/drinking espresso. Just kidding it’s great, but really I am going to go study more for these damn finals.

Metric remixes are all the rage and some are better than others (see others). This one by Death To The Throne is one of those that is better than others. If you liked Death To The Throne’s “Trapped In”, you will like this. It is full of that electro goodness that you would expect from him. The Metric vocals make it just that much better. Oh, and Death The The Thone would like you to know he bought a sword. Yes, a sword. I know you’re all jealous. He also got banned from Urban Outfitter. You can’t win them all it seems..

Oh dear. I am going to be frolicking all over the f*****g place for the next month because of this song. I have been eagerly awaiting a new release from Cut Copy since I posted “Where I’m Going” back in July. As a matter of fact, I have been hearing “Where I’m Going” everywhere I go these days, which is fine by me.

This new track is actually the first official single off of their upcoming album which is to be titled Zonoscope and will be released on February 2nd of next year. As a side note, does anyone else detect some influence from Men At Work’s song “Down Under”? I do. Anyways, enjoy the upbeat goodness that is “Take Me Over” below.

I’m honestly not the biggest Robyn fan- I’ll be the first to admit it. However, I am a GIANT Diplo fan. Even though he produced the original “Dancehall Queen” on Body Talk, I didn’t find it that appealing. However, what happens when Diplo remixes a song he himself produced? No, the world does not implode upon itself, but in fact a great banger is produced.

The track has a touch of grind to it characteristic of Diplo and Robyn’s solid vocals compliment it. Just because I am not a huge fan of Robyn doesn’t mean she doesn’t have a great voice. Of course, the vocals are slightly digitized in the remix, but would it really be a dubby remix if they weren’t?

You can snag this bad boy as a bonus track on the iTunes version of Body Talk rightttt here.

Why, hello. It’s been a bit since I have had an internet connection fast enough to make a legit post. So, needless to say, I am glad to be back state-side. I had a nice little queue of music lingering in my iPhone while I was gone. Now I can finally start posting it.

First up is a nice remix by Caligula of Swedish House Mafia‘s epic “Miami 2 Ibiza”. The remix has actually been approved by the Mafia trio and will be featured on an upcoming remix release.

You can check out the original “Miami 2 Ibiza” on Until One. Also, be sure to check out Swedish House Mafia’s upcoming documentary title Take One, due out ohhhhh… tomorrow. You can grab it along with Until One: The Book Edition, or by itself.

Grab the low quality version of the remix below and look out for the official version on Beatport.

The Soundmen are back with another dope remix following their amazing remix of The Limousines’ “Internet Killed The Video Star.” This is a remix of the “Riot Song” remix that featured Kid Cudi on Johnny Polygon’s mixtape Rebel Without Applause, which you can download here for free. I definitely digging this track and I suspect you will as well. Johnny Polygon is another artist to watch. If he continues to make tracks like this, I suspect he will be major in the future.

Following their Hypem.com chart topping remix for The Limousines, The Soundmen jump genres again for an exclusive remix of Johnny Polygon’s hit single “Riot Song”. The record features Kid Cudi and takes the jazzy original into downtown dance territory with their sweeping synths and signature hard drums. Please post, listen, bump, blast and dance away to this new remix. Enjoy!

For those who have been patiently awaiting (like myself) for Kenton Dunson’s sophomore effort Creative Destruction, your wait is over. Kenton Dunson just unleashed this ten track masterpiece and it does not disappoint. If you liked his previous album, The Kenton Dunson Progressions, or any of the previous leaks of this album, you will surely enjoy this. I am going to go out on a limb and say that this is one of the best albums of the year. Better yet, it’s FREE. Below are my four favorite tracks off the album, which was quite hard to narrow down. You can listen to the whole album below as well. If you like what you hear, be sure to download the album and share it with all your friends. You can keep up to date with Kenton Dunson’s releases by becoming fan of his on Facebook. I am hoping to do a more thorough review of the album later today but I wanted to get this posted before I head off to work.

“The economic term Creative Destruction explores how products, services & processes are eventually replaced with those that are superior. I apply this term not in the economic context, but from the perspective of the artist. In choosing to become a full-on creative, you risk destruction pertaining to material well-being and respectability, both voluntarily sacrificed when focusing entirely on your craft. This is my experience communicated through this self-produced project.” – Kenton Dunson

The Boulder DJ trio, Robotic Pirate Monkey, recently released a couple new remixes, one of The Expendables’ “Sacrifice” and one of Lily Allen’s “Smile”. I am not a huge fan of the Lil Allen remix. It is more a wobbly version of the original. The Expendables remix is way dope. RPM definitely does their thing with the track and give it their own personal touch. It would probably take some considerable talent to ruin a song as awesome as “Sacrifice”. Enjoy and be sure to become a fan of RPM on Facebook.

Here’s a little something from BBC Radio’s “Live Lounge”. It is a cover of The xx’s “Crystalised”, which is one of my favorite songs from them already. I am a diehard Gorillaz fan and have been for quite some time, so it’s no surprise that I love this track. I will scrape up an audio file soon and get it up for your enjoyment, but still being in Mexico, I have absolutely no bandwidth to go find/rip anything right now. Enjoy.

First off, for those of you that haven’t heard Skyzoo and !llmind’s Live from the Tapedeck yet, you should probably get on that. If you haven’t heard the album, this remix of my favorite track off of the album should give you an idea of what it is like. The remix is official and just came out like ohhhh… two hours ago. I will throw up a stream of the original because it is oh-so-dope, but you’ll have to go purchase the album for that bad boy. Be sure to check out Duckdown’s Soundcloud as well, there is some great stuff up there.

This will be one of my very few posts this week because at the moment I am sitting in a little bungalow in the middle of a Mexican monsoon. I know, it’s hard being me. Nevertheless, I’ll be back near reliable internet next Saturday. mark your calendars.
