Bar9 adds some serious dubstep wob to Sky Ferreira’s debut single “One,” which will be released through Parlophone on August 19th. No word if this remix will be included in the single release but I sure hope so.

Check out Telephoned’s new mixtape, Keep Their Heads Ringin, which is guaranteed to start any party right and to provide wonderful music to your ears. The duo is composed of singer Maggie and producer Sammy Bananas. We previously featured Sammy Bananas remix of Kid Cudi’s “Make Hey Say” and I am sure you are going to hear much more of his production in the future. Telephoned is currently on the road all summer opening for Chromeo’s sold-out North American tour, so check them out if you have the chance! The mixtape features Telephoned covering various acts from Gucci Mane to Chromeo to Bruno Mars in their own unique style. I have posted my favorites from the mixtape to stream below. The song “Keep It Warm / Lemonade / Rill Rill” is incredible, so be sure to download this mixtape!

Fool’s Gold’s dynamic duo Telephoned have put together a joyful new mixtape, Keep Their Heads Ringin, just in time for their opening slot on Chromeo’s US tour (which kicked off this week with killer shows in DC and Philly and funks across North America for the rest of the summer).

Keep… gives listeners a perfect taste of the new sounds Maggie and producer Sammy Bananas have woven into their repertoire of party starting not-quite-cover songs. But don’t take our word for it, check what The FADER had to say when they premiered the tape this AM.

Cookbook & Uno Mas enlist the help of Scarub (of Living Legends) to lay the smack down on amateur rappers (ie. MySpace rappers). Check the track out below.

With their latest album, C&U Music Factory, still snatching up acclaim, long-time duo and LA Symphony co-founders Cookbook & Uno Mas hit us with the album’s second single, “Petty”. This time, the self-proclaimed fundamentalists address their discontent for the increasing emergence of hip-hop amateurs. With the help of featured emcee Scarub (of Living Legends), Cookbook & Uno Mas deliver thought-provoking rhymes, not only to discourage the amateurs, but to showcase their own talents as well. “We’re proclaiming that we are still set apart from the masses due to our skill at our craft, and our musicianship,” says the duo on the message behind their latest track.

Produced by Cookbook, the synth-heavy beat is accompanied by well-said verses about the group’s intolerance for the “wack rhyme disease” that seems to be ever-spreading. The song is filled with proud proclamations of their musical integrity, with lines like, “We started this, and we gon’ finish this/ We been a part of this real rap, no images/ Real artists, hard fact, it’s limitless/ Hard flows, these foes lose their grimaces.” It’s clear that Cookbook & Uno Mas prefer truth to mass appeal. “We want people to dig through, and pull out these golden nuggets that exist,” says the group.

Listen to these two amazing remixes of Hey Champ’s “Neverest”. Database and Raw Man both kill it and it is tough for me to decide which one is best.

Chromeo has just released their music video for “Don’t Turn The Lights On.” Will it be as awesome as “Night By Night”? Is that even possible? Well, I don’t think it surpasses “Night By Night” since it doesn’t have awesome dancing that makes me jealous but it is pretty fantastic. Chromeo is bringing the eighties back and I love it. Be sure to pre-order Chromeo’s Business Casual now!

Summertime videos are rampant but this week Chromeo ups the ante and TRUMPS once again with their incredible video for “Don’t Turn the Lights On”! Director Keith Schofield (did the infamous Charlotte Gainsbourg/Beck clip) turns the duo’s atmospheric funk ballad into a surrealist “thriller”. Their album Business Casual drops 9/14 on Atlantic.

One last post for the night due to the smoothness of this new Mike Posner track. This will be the third track off his upcoming album, 31 Minutes to Takeoff, dropping August 10th. I honestly thought this song was going to terrible considering the title but I like it much better than “Please Don’t Go.” Check it out below.

The last Jai’ded Jordan post on RemixTheVideo was a huge hit and even three days later it is still one of the most active posts on the site. So, it is only right that I give you another Jai’ded Jordan track titled “Lets Get Fucked Up.” The track was released before “Make The Walls Sweat” and it goes real hard. The theme of the song is perfect for those nights out. In the track, he hooks up with ATL hitmakers Waka Flocka, YT and super producer Mr. Hanky of Collipark Music. Check it out below.

Here are two dope remixes from fellow Boulderites Robotic Pirate Monkey. The first one is a remix of Modest Mouse’s “I Came As A Rat,” which unfortunately is not available for download but is sick nonetheless. Never thought I’d hear a electronic remix of Modest Mouse.. The second is a dope remix of Trouble Andrew’s “Take It To The Top” from his Trouble Gang mixtape, which is available for download. If you like what you hear, be sure to check out more of Robotic Pirate Monkey’s music on their SoundCloud.
