Mister Six – Full Force EP (Album)

My god. I came in from a night out (thanks to the cast of MTV’s Real World for a dope party) and sat to listen to a few tracks before hittin the sack; I came across these. You should definitely check out this EP by Mister Six, it’s called full force and will make you feel tingly all over. This is great music, straight up. My personal favorite you ask? The bass heavy “Internicine”. Download em’ all and get DOWN, or kick back depending on which track your blastin.

Outasight – Never Say Never (Mixtape)

If you been following Outasight on RemixTheVideo then you probably have already heard a couple leaks off Never Say Never including “Near The End” and “Dear Heartache”, both excellent cuts off the mixtape. The tape is the second collaborative mixtape between LRG and the innovative Warner Bros. recording artist, Outasight. Never Say Never contains 14 brand new tracks available for free and features fellow artists Freddie Gibbs, XV, and Avriel Epps. The project also includes production from frequent collaborators such as 6th Sense, Cook Classics, Sa-Ra, and Mike Cash. I have to say that there is not many musicians out there like him. He is half the time a rapper and half the time a soul pop singer of the Motown era, a winning combination in my books. Check out some of my favorites from the mixtape (excluding the ones previously featured) and be sure to download it! My favorite track is “She’s Leaving Home”.

Wait What – This is Real Life (Mashup Album)

Here I am, still listening to The Notorious Xx album, and now Wait What is gonna go and drop this beast on me! If you haven’t heard Wait What’s Biggie/Xx mashup album, listen to it on his Soundcloud or download it on his website. Anyways, his new mash album This is Real Life mashes an all-star cast of musicians in all kinds of unique ways. I can’t help but think of (500) Days of Weezy when listening to this. It seems like a lot of artist are blending hipster/alternative tunes with rap. I’m not hating it…

La Roux – In for the Kill (Doctor Rosen Rosen Remix)

What? You thought there was already too many La Roux “In for the Kill” remixes? Not if Doctor Rosen Rosen wants to add his darker pop sound to the song. This is one of the best “In for the Kill” remixes I have heard since Skream’s epic dubstep remix of the song. Unfortunately, the song is for stream only as it is one of the official remixes of the song. I am sure you will be able to purchase it on iTunes or Amazon in the near future. Definitely check this out!

Mike Posner – 31 Minutes To Takeoff (Gianni Marino Remix)

“31 Minutes To Takeoff” was one of the best tracks on the album.. well, up until it ends prematurely. I have no clue why they didn’t make the track into a full song because they really should. The beat, the vocals, everything on the song is amazing. Here is a nice remix of the track that DJ Benzi released in anticipation of the September 10th debut of “The Mike Posner Show with DJ Benzi” on Faction through Sirius/XM radio. Read more about the radio show in the DJ Benzi quote after jump. This remix also unfortunately ends too soon but hey.. at least it is slightly longer.

The Glitch Mob’s Remix It Like You Stole It Contest Winners

The Glitch Mob just ended their Remix It Like You Stole It contest and the winner by popular vote was Mind Elixir. The judges pick went to Mirko-Kosmos. I agree with The Glitch Mob that he had the better remix. He took the stems of “Drive it Like You Stole it” and made the song a much faster paced song. The drums on the remix are way sick. Callan Mart was the runner up for the judges pick, which is well justified based on how sick his remix is. There were also a few other remixes that The Glitch Mob loved. Of the three remixes, I liked Paco De Moor’s vocal remake the best. I actually like this remix the most of all of the ones that were highlighted.

Cee Lo Green – F**k You (Radioaktives Remix) x Mike Posner – Cooler Than Me (DJ Jem Remix)

Since Cee Lo’s “F**k You” has been taking the internet by storm, I wanted to see if there were any cool remixes of the track made. So, I did a little search on Soundcloud and I found this sweet remix by DJ Jem & DJ Broadway Streetz’ new pop group, Radioaktives. The acapella of Cee Lo track has yet to be released, so there is only so much one can do to remix the track. They did a real good job though giving it a new sound with a little piano loop, some synths and additional vocals. While checking out the rest of DJ Jem’s Soundclound, I really liked his remix of Mike Posner’s “Cooler Than Me” as well. It is pretty much the chorus with a chill club beat where there should be a verse. Matter of fact, I really think someone should add verses to this remix. Could be dope..

Cee Lo Green – F**k You (Music Video)

One of the best songs of the year gets a video less than two weeks after it was released to the world. This will be the first single off of Cee-Lo’s upcoming album titled The Lady Killer, which is set to drop December 7th. If you don’t like this, f**k you.

Wiz Khalifa – Black & Yellow

Wiz Khalifa has just unleashed his first single since being signed to Rostrum/Atlantic. The single is titled “Black And Yellow” and was produced by Stargate. He is repping his hometown of Pittsburgh ala the black and yellow part of the song if you didn’t get it. I was almost committed to not posting anymore tonight…until I heard this track. It’s a banger as expected from Wiz and is making me want to hear his upcoming album even more.

Doctor Rosen Rosen – Eat, Pray, Fu*k

We already know Doctor Rosen Rosen is way underrated as a producer and has made some of the illest remixes these past few years. I never realized how dope he can be with his own vocals on the track. Need an example? Just listen to the song “Eat, Pray, Fu*k”. The song is titled after Elizabeth Gilbert’s book Eat, Pray, Love, which was recently brought to the big screen. I am huge fan of the type of music Doctor Rosen Rosen produces. He could probably get me to listen to Ke$ha (first terrible singer I could think of) after remixing one of her tracks. Combining his own production talents with his singing talents, you can really see hear how truly talented he is as a musician. Doctor, I think we need a refill of original music from you.

“3 years ago I put out this song and now Julia Robert’s won’t return my phone calls.
What the fu*k?” – Doctor Rosen Rosen

Tupac & Gary Jules – Against a Mad World (Brenton Duvall Mashup)

Every once in a great while one comes across a mashup that does something so cool and new that it must be posted. Rapping to “Mad World” sounds pretty cool in my book. Not to mention that Donnie Darko is my favorite movie of all time. I haven’t heard a mash-up this fresh since DJ Fergie Ferg’s Devotchka x Cudi/Snoop Mash. If Brenton Duvall keeps this up he’ll be hot in no time.

Anyways, this is a legit track. It compliments both songs and should be part of your library immediately.

Matt & Kim – Cameras

Long time no post huh? Sorry folks, I have been mega busy starting an internship and getting bitch slapped with coursework. Matt & Kim is the best group to come back to if you ask me though. This is the first bit of sunshine I’ve heard from them since their awesome Grand LP which made my day for oh… about a month? Here’s to the hopeful album announcement that is soon to come!

Riva Starr – I Was Drunk Feat. Noze (Music Video) x Usher – OMG (Riva Starr Remix)

I believe all babies should have mustaches and I have to give credit to Riva Starr and his fantastic music video of his “I Was Drunk” for this idea. “I Was Drunk” is the smash single off Riva Starr’s album If Life Gives You Lemons, Make Lemonade (the video already has over 300,000 views!), which is available for purchase now. The song is real dope although I am not sure what to call it… gypsy house maybe? Anyways, apparently my computer found out about Riva Starr before I did as I had a remix by him of Usher’s “OMG”, which is a pretty dope track that has a totally different vibe than the original. If you are interested in hearing Riva Starr’s album If Life Gives You Lemons, Make Lemonade I have posted a minimix of it below. Also, if you are in the NYC area, be sure to check out Riva Starr at Cielo September 16th. Information on the show can be found below as well.

Silver Medallion – Slave (House of Light Remix)

I learned a few things today as expected when you go to college but there was one thing I was really excited to learn. That something was that Silver Medallion already has an album out titled The Last of the Popstars. What…the…f**k…how did I not know about this? SMH. I quickly ordered it on Amazon and I am awaiting my copy (and can’t wait to hear it!). I highly suggest you pick up a copy as well since Silver Medallion is a great group who I have a feeling will be big in the future. Buy it on iTunes or Amazon. Silver Medallion also unleashed a new remix of their single “Slave” by House of Light. One of the best remixes of the track I have heard so far. Check it out.

Justin Bieber – Runaway Love Feat. Kanye West & Raekwon (Official Remix)

This song simply has to be posted for exactly how impressed I am that this actually came out, and so quickly! Just a week or two ago whispers started going around about this collaboration. Well, here it is believe it or not. I’ll let you form your own opinion (please let me hear it). I do have to say I am diggin the Wu-Tang backdrop. Bieber sounds like a young Mikey J if you ask me…. sorry for the tags too, we’ll have tagless shortly.
